Welcome

Thank you for stopping by ‘my place’. Please come often and hang around to chat.  I am online most of the time, since I work from my own home office.

I would describe myself as a progressive, post-modernist, vegan, gardener who enjoys photography; taken and living in California; thinking and talking about everything and nothing in particular. Born, raised, and educated in Yankee territory; child development specialist.

Having traveled a lot in the past, now I am interested in discovering and writing about the West Coast, and striving not only to live a beautiful life myself but helping others to enjoy the same.

By the way: make sure you have fun today.

  3. As a father who’s dealt with parental alienation and possible Munchausen By Proxy, I can’t help but like child psychologists. I believe we are in Opinionated Man’s Project O together.

  8. Thank you for the follow, Beth. I stumbled upon your blog via a search for peoples’ reaction to Robin William’s death. I appreciate your “voice” and what you write.

It’s only today that I’m starting to recover from the blow. Which, as I read that back sounds surreal, considering I was so very far removed from the man.

Or was I? I think we (humans and everything else in the universe) are so intricately connected that we don’t realize it.

    • Thank you as well, Maggie. I identify with what you are saying completely. I was surprised at my reaction — and regretted that I hadn’t ever written to him to tell him how much I thought of him as a human being, in addition to be a gift artist. Sigh! Life goes on. I hope I don’t miss my next opportunity to express appreciation of someone who deserves and needs it. I appreciate your following this blog, reading and commenting!

  9. Hi there 🙂
You are a combination of two topics I’m passionate about, children ( as you being a child psychologist and all) and California. I’ve only been to Cali twice but I adore what I’ve seen so far. Children on the other hand, on well, I have 7 of them, so there!
As you said, nothing wrong with putting the best foot forward now 🙂 Lovely pic by the way. Thanks for coming by my place, I shall be visiting frequently, I like the feel here.

  11. Here’s a message from Türkiye to say “thank you”. I appreciate your recent ‘follow’, knowing how many interesting and entertaining blogs there are out there.

Blogging since June 2013, my little corner of the world tries to offer an eclectic smattering of posts, from basic amateur photography, to sharing my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day-to-day happenings here on our fruit farm in southern Turkey. I also throw in a few of my observations on life and lighter-hearted stuff for good measure.

You are more than welcome to have a look around, stay a while and have a trawl through my collection. There are plenty of categories within the drop-down menus to help in said digging process. Of course, if you have any comments, suggestions or concerns, feel free to let me know – I’m not easily offended 🙂

Hope you have a great day…
